CEP Ottawa presents: Snowshoe Tour in Gatineau Park

Join CEP for our annual snowshoeing event in Gatineau park! Grab your favorite pair of mits and snowshoes and spend your Saturday morning with an experienced naturalist and learn how animals and plants face the many challenges of winter survival. This event is a CEP favourite!

Bring your own snowshoes or use a pair provided by the Gatineau Park. The guided walk is bilingual and hot chocolate will be served. This is a great chance to get back in touch with what we really care about: the great outdoors!

Note: Spaces are limited! Register now!

Where:

Visitor center, Gatineau park, 33 Scott road, Chelsea, Quebec.

When:

Saturday, February 27th, 2016. Our tour starts from 10:00 am and lasts two hours. Please arrive on time!

Cost:

$17, which covers ticket, snowshoe rental and event fee. Event fees help cover the costs of running this volunteer organization.

Registration:

Register for this event on the website. **Please note that because spaces are limited, we will have to cancel any registration that has not been paid within three days**.

Rideshares:

It’ll be difficult for those of us who don’t own a car to get to this event, so why not be generous and offer a ride to others if you have room in your car?! When registering you can indicate whether you have car and can take one, two or three people with you, or if you need a ride. Ridesharers will meet at a a location downtown. We will arrange the careshare for you!

Notes:

Remember to wear winter boots that you can snowshoe in, and other weather-appropriate clothing.

If the weather is way too cold or otherwise atrocious, we will cancel the event and refund tickets.
